Dr. Cecilia Watkins, Advisor

Dr. Watkins has a PhD from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in Public Health. She received Certified Health Education Specialist status in 2000 and has been a professor at Western Kentucky University since 2001. In 2008 Dr. Watkins was named the Professor of the Year by the College of Health and Human Services. She is an active member of the Partnership for a Fit Kentucky, the State of Kentucky Worksite Wellness Task Force, and the American Public Health Association. Dr. Watkins conducts research in the area of worksite health promotion.

Dr. Grace K. Lartey, Co-Advisor

Dr. Lartey has a PhD from the University of Toledo in Health Education with a focus in Statistics and Research. She has been at Western Kentucky University since 2006, and is a reviewer for McGraw-Hill Companies and the Journal of School Health. Dr. Lartey is an active member of the American Public Health Association and the African Heritage Studies Association. She is currently conducting research in the area of international health promotion
